British National Freefly Champions 2011!!!

Big Congrats to the Volare boys for once again being the British National Freefly Champions for 2011.  This year saw some new additions to the team, Mike was back to defend his title for the 6th year in a row joined for the first time by Frazer Smith and Daniel Parker. 

This year was the first "year off" from major international competition for the team since 2006, giving everyone some time to try to get thier lives back in order and enjoy a more relaxed summer.  This also gave the guys a chance to attend the Awesome Nordic Meet hosted by Martin Kristensen, The incredible Voss Freefly Festival in Norway and the Nordic Sequentials in Sweden.  These events made for one of the most fun and action packed summers so far. 

From there it was off to the British Nationals to compete in both VFS and Freefly.  In the VFS it was a close battle with the Bad Lieutenants.  In the end it was the BLTs that put all their training from the previous years of VFS competition to fantastic use and put on a masteful display of VFS.  Respect to the BLTS who totally deserve to be the British VFS Champions.  The following week was the Artist events which gave Mike, Dan and Frazer time to prepare.  The guys went on to win gold from a stacked out class of top Freefly teams.  Congrats to all the teams in both the "A" and "B" classes for putting on an Awesome display of some top Freefly.

So whats up next?  This coming weekend is the British Head Down record at Hibaldstow, followed by the Funshine Boogie in Seville and ending up in Empuria for the Euro Record!  So lots more action to come!!!!
